School Closings Information
In the event of a school closing for inclement weather or in case of an emergency, the Donovan School District will utilize the One Call Now automated telephone alert system to contact parents via a phone call or text to inform parents of school closings information as soon as possible.
Listen to WGFA radio (94.1 FM), WVLI radio (92.7 FM or 101.7) or WKAN radio (1320 AM) to announce school closings as they occur.
Parents: Please DO NOT call the school for school closings information.
If you are not receiving One Call Now alerts please contact Mrs. Legan at email@example.com to sign-up for the automated alert system.
Students: Just a reminder we do not have school next Monday, January 21st in honor of Martin Luther King’s Birthday. Enjoy your 3 day weekend!
There will be a High School Student Council meeting today during 4th hour in Ms. Knapper’s room.
Winter Sports Pictures are next Tuesday, January 22nd. Teams getting pictures are: HS Cheerleaders, HS Boys Basketball, HS Girls Basketball, JH Cheerleaders, JH Boys Basketball & JH Volleyball. Order forms are available in the office.
Any students interested in participating in the High School STEAM Challenge should see Mrs. Moos for an application.
The money for the homecoming shirts is due to Miss Knapper today.
Homecoming Guest Permission forms are available in the office. Guest Permission forms must be turned into the office by February 1st.
Attention all 8th graders, turn in your Josten’s 2023 order forms into the main office today.
The Junior High Boys Basketball team has a home game tonight against Milford starting at 5:30pm. Good Luck Boys!
The Junior High Girls Volleyball team has a game tonight at St. John starting at 6pm. Bus time is 4:30pm. Good Luck Girls!
The High School Boys & Girls Basketball teams will travel to Gardner South Wilmington tonight. First game starts at 4:30pm. Please dismiss the teams at 2:30pm for a 2:45pm bus time. Good Luck Teams!
Attention Parents & Caregivers:
Beginning August of 2018, the Donovan Community Unit School District will dismiss students every 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month to allow all staff time for district trainings, staff meetings and professional development.
The Elementary school will dismiss at 1:22 and the Jr/Sr high school will dismiss at 1:30 on these days.

In an effort to better serve our viewers we have implemented some redundancy thoughout our website. For instance; When you select any Board of Education webpage you will be re-directed to the Board of Education portion of the district website. We have added this feature to ensure that no matter what building site you are visiting you always have access to the district level information you require. Here are some other helful website tips that may come in handy.
Tip #1: All of our district websites are color coded for ease of identification.
1. Grey & Burgandy=District Level
2. Red & White=Elementary School
3. Red & White/Black=Junior High School
4. Black & Gold/White=High School
Tip#2: When selected, the following menu items will re-direct you back to the district website.
These sections are part of the redundancy feature of the websites. All menus items and content are identical on all of the school district websites. About Us, Board of Education, Parents, Public, and Staff
