    In the event of a school closing for inclement weather or in case of an emergency, the Donovan School District will utilize the One Call Now automated telephone alert system to contact parents via a phone call or text to inform parents of school closings information as soon as possible. 
    Listen to WGFA radio (94.1 FM), WVLI radio (92.7 FM or 101.7) or WKAN radio (1320 AM) to announce school closings as they occur. 

    Parents: Please DO NOT call the school for school closings information. 
    If you are not receiving One Call Now alerts please contact Mrs. Legan at leganj@donovanschools.org to sign-up for the automated alert system.

Junior High School Daily Announcements

  • Student Registration:

    Donovan Elementary School - Registration for new & returning students to the district is August 6th, 2019 from 1:00pm-3:00pm & 4:00-7:00pm.

    Donovan Jr. / Sr. High School - Registration for new & returning students to the district is August 7th, 2019 from 1:00pm-3:00pm & 4:00pm-7:00pm . 

    All registration forms can printed and filled out in prior to actual registration in the district.

    Chromebook Pick-up day for students 6th - 8th Grade is August 8th at Donovan High School Main Lab from 9:00am-4:00pm.

    Chromebook Pick-up day for students 9th - 12th Grade is August 9th at Donovan High School Main Lab from 9:00am-4:00pm.

     

    All necassary paperwork and Chromebook fees must be paid prior to the release of the Chromebook device to students.

    All fines for Chromebook loss or damage to equipment from the previous school year must be paid in full before students can pick-up their Chromebook.

  • Attention Parents,

    It is one of our top priorities to keep you well informed of district schedule changes as well as ensuring we have smooth transportation services on early dissmissal days throughout the school year for students.

    To better assist you with this transition,  all early dismissals days for students will be color-coded in "YELLOW" on all district website calenders.

    Beginning September 11th, we will release students the second Wednesday of each month for staff meetings and professional development purposes.

    We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we make this transition in our school calender from previous years.

  • Attention Parents & Caregivers:

    Beginning September 2019, the Donovan Community Unit School District will dismiss students every 2nd Wednesday of the month to allow all staff time for district trainings, staff meetings and professional development. The Elementary school students will dismiss at 1:22 and the Jr/Sr high school students will dismiss at 1:30 on these days.
    Please download the 2019-2020 Donovan School District Calender to view all schedules early dismissals dates.

  • Website HELP!

    Helpful Navigation Tips


    In an effort to better serve our viewers we have implemented some redundancy thoughout our website. For instance; When you select any Board of Education webpage you will be re-directed to the Board of Education portion of the district website. We have added this feature to ensure that no matter what building site you are visiting you always have access to the district level information you require. Here are some other helful website tips that may come in handy.

    Tip #1: All of our district websites are color coded for ease of identification. 

                1.  Grey & Burgandy=District Level
                2.  Red & White=Elementary School
                3.  Red & White/Black=Junior High School
                4.  Black & Gold/White=High School

    Tip#2When selected, the following menu items will re-direct you back to the district website.
    These sections are part of the redundancy feature of the websites. All menus items and content are       identical on all of the school district websites. About Us, Board of Education, Parents, Public, and Staff

    Tip #3: Use the global icons bar on the right-hand side of each homepage for quick access to: District       Calender, Lunch Menus, Administration & Staff Directory Information, Classrooms, I-NOW Parent Porrtal, Local Weather, One Call Now and Google Classroom.

    Tip #4: You can always use the "Select a School" button at the top of all pages to get to where you want to go within the district.

    Tip #5: You the colorful interactive shortcut buttons to the right side of any homepage for quick access to the most frequently used webpage.
