Mr. Westrick will be entering his 32nd year in education this August. “I had the good fortune of attending a great school system, East Allen County Schools, growing up. I had wonderful, caring, teachers. I got to know my Principals and saw them as role models. I knew I wanted to be an educator from 5th Grade on.”

Mr. Westrick has his Bachelor Degree in Secondary (Social Studies) Education and a Master’s Degree in School Administration, both earned at Indiana University Fort Wayne. His advanced graduate degree, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), was awarded at Indiana State University. It was this degree that qualified Mr. Westrick for his Superintendent license.

“I often share the following when I am speaking to any group, ‘Donovan has great students’.

As I have come to know them, I am impressed with their work ethic and integrity. Donovan’s teachers are first rate. They truly care about our students. Our district has supportive parents/guardians. Our support staff is one of the best I have worked with in my educational career. The Donovan School Board is dedicated to the future of the school district.”
Mr. Westrick’s goal is to strengthen Donovan Schools. With our new HS Ag program beginning this year, we have much to look forward to.
